Senior Project Manager / Client Lead
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager / Client Lead with strong project management and estimating expertise in industrial and environmental water treatment. You will act as a trusted technical partner and primary liaison for clients, leading projects from proposal through design, installation, and startup while identifying new opportunities through your network. This position will be based out of our Holly, MI office with potential for some remote work.
About Global Environmental
Global Environmental is a Michigan-based remediation contracting and environmental systems firm specializing in ground, surface, and industrial water treatment systems, and associated field services, including bulk carbon sales and system O&M. Our team designs, builds, and operates treatment systems for both environmental remediation and permanent industrial applications.
As we continue to expand our technical capabilities, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager / Client Lead to help guide our growth in the industrial and environmental water treatment market. This position blends technical project management with client relationship leadership—ideal for an experienced professional who knows the industry, understands system design and operations, and has the network to identify and secure new opportunities.
Client & Project Leadership
— Serve as a trusted technical partner to clients in environmental remediation, construction/development, and industrial water treatment sectors.
— Manage the full project lifecycle, from proposal and estimating through design, installation, and system startup.
— Maintain and grow client relationships across manufacturing, industrial, and municipal markets.
— Identify new project and teaming opportunities through your professional network and market awareness.
Technical & Estimating Support
— Lead development of scopes, budgets, and cost estimates for groundwater and process water treatment systems.
— Evaluate treatment technologies (e.g., air stripping, carbon adsorption, ion exchange, filtration, biological systems, etc.) and provide technical input for design-build projects.
— Oversee bid preparation, subcontractor coordination, and procurement of major components and systems.
— Support field staff during installation and start-up as needed.
Strategic Growth & Team Development
— Collaborate with leadership to strengthen Global’s presence in long-term water treatment and remediation system markets.
— Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff in technical project management and estimating.
— Stay informed of emerging treatment technologies, regulatory trends, and industrial water needs.
Who You Are
You are an experienced water treatment professional who thrives on solving technical challenges and building trusted relationships. You’ve managed environmental or industrial water treatment projects from concept through installation and bring a strong understanding of process design, equipment, and field implementation. You likely have existing relationships with engineering firms, contractors, manufacturers, and regulatory agencies and know where opportunities are developing.
Required Skills & Experience
— 5–10 years of experience in environmental or industrial water treatment system design, construction, or O&M
— Proven track record in project management and estimating for treatment system projects
— Strong understanding of treatment processes such as carbon adsorption, soil-vapor extraction, chemical clarification, air stripping, filtration
— Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
— Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications
— OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER (or ability to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications
— Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
— Experience with design-build or turnkey system delivery
— Established relationships in industrial manufacturing, infrastructure, or remediation markets
— Experience with state and federal contracting (MDOT, EGLE, EPA, etc.)
— State of Michigan Waste Water Treatment Operator License
